New Orleans with the hubs and Patrick

Memorial day weekend our friend Patrick came to visit! After a walk around our sweltering hot neighborhood, Patrick and I went out to the navy base and Jake showed him how to use the T-45 simulator. After that, we dined over Mississippi BBQ then went bowling with our friend Derrik. The next two days we spent in New Orleans! We saw swamps, plantation homes, ate po boys, gumbo and beignets! The following day we took a bike tour through the French Quarter and the lower 9th Ward that was demolished by hurricane Katrina. It was such an amazing trip! We miss patrick already and found so many more places we want to see in New Orleans!

12 weeks preggers

At the 12 week preggers mark, Jake and I decided to run the St. Patty's day 5k in Pensacola, FL. Baby M slowed me down a bit but we finished the race together in a respectable time. Over 10,000 people ran the race! Irish beer and Irish wakes were everywhere afterward--too bad i couldn't enjoy that part :( Next year! And we can try out my new Bob revolution jogging stroller!!
